Warranty Policy

There are no warranties expressed or implied, made by Muncie Transit Supply on our new replacement parts except the Muncie warranty and/or manufacturer warranty against defects in material and workmanship set forth below.

Muncie Transit Supply, hereinafter called Muncie, as a supplier warrants each new part to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. Muncie’s obligation under this warranty being limited to repairing or replacing, at its option, any such part which shall within ninety (90) days after sale or installation thereof be returned to Muncie with transportation charges prepaid and with examination shall disclose to Muncie’s satisfaction to have been thus defective.

The provisions of this warranty shall not apply to any Muncie new part which is used for a purpose for which it is not designed or which shall have been subject to misuse, negligence or accident, or which shall have been repaired and/or altered by other than Muncie in any way so as in the judgement of Muncie to affect adversely its performance and reliability, nor to any normal maintenance or adjustment services.

This warranty is expressed in lieu of any other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and of any other obligations or liability on the part of Muncie and Muncie neither assumes nor authorizes any other person to assume for Muncie any other liability in connection with such new part.

Handling your warranty claims: Customer may return any new part covered under the above warranty “Freight Prepaid” to Muncie upon authorized approval. Be sure that your complaint or reason for claim is clearly stated on your packing slip showing purchase order number, invoice number and return authorization number under which the item was purchased. Item approved as defective under the terms of the warranty will be repaired or replaced and returned to the sender prepaid.

Note of explanation: The above warranty does not cover labor, other parts or material of the unit or assembly of which the Muncie part is used. Muncie assumes no liability or responsibility other than the repair or replacement by Muncie of defective part or parts.
